A couple of hundred people came to court today to attend the trial of
the Belgrade 6. Despite the fact that a large room was supposed to be
ordered, the court was apparently too afraid of the crowd and very few
activists were let in. (The also were insisting that nobody could sit
in the first row of the court and claiming the room was full.) This was
a very tense situation and during this, 3 people were arrested for
hanging a sign on the door reading "Anarchism is not Terrorism".

(zusammengetragen von labournet.de) Bankrott oder Propaganda? Die "Debatte" um Griechenlands wirtschaftliche Lage nimmt immer drastischere Formen an. Schon tauchen die üblichen "Experten" auf, die vorschlagen, die EU solle das Land eben bankrott gehen lassen - dass diese Art Berater die Zeche für ihre Ratschläge natürlich nicht bezahlen wollen ist wenig überraschend, da sind sie einer Meinung mit der griechischen Regierung: Das soll die Bevölkerung tun. Wer bestimmt in - oder über - Griechenland? Und: In jedem Fall, auch hier gibt es Widerstand.

In der bisher größten gewerkschaftlichen Aktion in der Geschichte der Türkei beteiligten sich quer durchs Land Millionen von Menschen an den Solidaritätsaktionen mit den seit beinahe zwei Monaten kämpfenden Tekel-Belegschaften.

There will be an antifa demo against the Day of Honor
in Budapest on 13 February. We start at 4p.m. The demo will be held in
a form of a march, a sort of a river that will end up in the sea of a bigger static demonstration.

On 6th January 2010 the police arrested 23 people in Ankara (Turkey) by
using brutal force. The arrests occurred during a demonstration and
press conference for the immediate release of the imprisoned military
objector Enver Aydemir. One person among the arrested demonstrators has
been detained: our comrade and anarchist Volkan Sevinc has been in jail
for 40 days. We protest the imprisonment of Volkan Sevinc as well as
the planned conviction of 19 other comrades to prison sentences between
1-10 years on the indictment "discouragement of the people from doing
military service". We’re going to meet on Saturday, 13 February 2010
simultaneously in Ankara and Istanbul as not yet convicted,
killing-refusing antimilitarists to do another demonstration with the aim of "discouraging people of doing military service". […]

Es ist nun fast fünf Monate her seit sich die sechs AnarchistInnen in
Belgrader Gefängnis befinden, sie dürfen keine Briefe und fast keine
Besuche bekommen. Die Anklage lautet auf "internationalen Terrorismus",
die vorgesehene Strafe beläuft sich auf 3-15 Jahre. Der Prozess sollte
Ende Februar anfangen.
Die Verhaftung der sechs AnarchistInnen liegt ganz im europäischen
Trend. Politischer Aktivismus wird mittels "Terrorismusparagraphen"
kriminalisiert und verfolgt. Staatliche Repression nimmt überall zu.
Umso mehr muss dem entschieden engegengetreten werden und Solidarität
mit denen, die von Repression betroffenen sind gezeigt werden und das
auf verschiedenste Weise! Die Kriminalisierung weniger sollte als ein
Angriff auf uns alle gesehen werden!
Für die sofortige Freilassung der verhafteten AnarchistInnen in Belgrad und für die Freilassung aller Gefangenen überall!

Today in Poland there were two protests on the anniversary of the
killing of Stanislav Markelov and Anastasia Baburova – one in front of
the consulate in Krakow, another in front of the embassy in Warsaw.
Protestors remembered this tragic event and offered solidarity to the
antifascist movement in Russia.
