In Belarus wird im Dezember gewählt, zu erwarten ist, dass Lukaschenko, seit 1994 Präsident, auch weiterhin im Amt bleiben wird
Am 19. Dezember 2010 sollen in Belarus bzw. Weißrussland Präsidentschaftswahlen stattfinden. Seit 1994 bekleidet dieses Amt Alexander Lukaschenko, und der gedenkt das auch fürderhin zu tun. Zwar hätte er nach seinerzeit geltendem Recht bereits 2006 für dieses Amt nicht mehr kandidieren können, doch eine Gesetzesänderung von 2004 ermöglicht weitere Kandidaturen Lukaschenkos. Die besagte Gesetzesänderung ging einher mit der Gleichschaltung der weißrussischen Medien und einer verstärkten Repression gegen oppositionelle Medien und Regimekritiker. Continued…

On the 27th and 28th of September new court sessions were held where the question of freeing Aleksei Gaskarov and Maxim Solopov, arrested on the 28th of July 2010, was dealt with. Shutting their eyes to the lack of evidence, turning their backs on public and international support for the detainees, described as “pressure on the court” by the prosecution, the Khimki judges prolonged the detention of the two social activists for two more months. There had been more solidarity actions taking place in the context of the solidarity action days in different parts of europe and beyond.
The activists of the Crimea antifascist action have made a graffiti in support of the belarusian activists repressed by the authorities.
In Ufa, an antirepression demonstration took place in solidarity with the anarchists in belarus and the khimki hostages.
In Belgorod, banners were taken to the streets in solidarity on 14th of october.
In Lublin a samba action and speech took place.
In Berlin, the Zielona Gora a solidarity meeting and discussion took place and money was collected at the 15th of october.
In Bobruisk, molotov cocktail was thrown against KGB office.
In Minsk, at the 15th of october a picket was held and some letter delivered to officials. Also, a graffitty was made some days before.
In Vienna, a picket was held in front of the embassy at the 14th of october and a graffitty.
In Innsbruck, there were also some graffitties made.

Today at the beginning of international action days a short picket in solidarity with prisoners in Minsk took place in front of the belarussian embassy in Vienna. The banner says: “stop state-violence / authority”


Additional, yesterday a graffitty was made in the centre close to danube-channel. The graffitty says: “Freedom! Anarchy not Belarus”

The belgrade pride was able to take place last weekend after years of non-support by officials and lots of violent harrasments from homophob groups, fundamentalist christians and nationalists. This time police was massively present and had clashes with thousands of anti-pride “extremists”, as they were named in mainstream media.
