after we had been late because hitchiking was not working well, we had today our workshop about situation of Rote Flora squat (blog “rote flora bleibt”) in hamburg at the anarchist bookfair in zagreb. additionally, we talked about anti-gentrification activities and the “Recht auf Stadt” network in hamburg and situation in other cities. It was an interesting discussion after presenting history and recent situation of the squat in hamburg. Questions concerned the problem of being part of the gentrification by focusing mainly on cultural events and comparing concepts of social centers with their relation towards “non-scene” people. There is an initiative in zagreb against gentrification as well, but it is not close to anarchists but rather an only-legal-oriented and NGO based structure. It was an interesting event including the information about the possible changes in near future in hamburg. We are going to talk about situation of Rote Flora and “Recht auf Stadt” in other croatian cities as well the next days.

Am 12.03.2011 plante die neofaschistische DSSS (Dělnická strána sociální spravedlnosti – Arbeiterpartei der sozialen Gerechtigkeit), die Nachfolgeorganisation der verbotenen DS eine Demonstration im tschechischen Nový Bydžov. Vorausgegangen waren diskriminierende Aussagen des örtlichen Bürgermeisters Pavel Louda gegen die im Ort wohnende Romaminderheit. Unter anderem auch direkt auf der Website des Ortes (www.novybydzov.cz).
Die nun geplante Aktion der DSSS sollte sich gegen vermeintliche „Romakriminalität“ richten. Treffpunkt der Faschist_innen war 12:00 Uhr am Masarykovo náměstí. Ab 13:00 Uhr sollte ein Aufmarsch durch die Straßen Revoluční třída, Na Šarlejích, Havlíčkova und třída ČSA zurück zum Masarykovo náměstí durchgeführt werden.
Gegen diese Veranstaltung gab es zwei Aufrufe: Einer von Romainitiativen, der SZ (tschechische Grüne), der tschechischen Piratenpartei und weiteren Akteur_innen. Diese trafen sich gegen 11:00 Uhr am Parkplatz in der Straße U Hřiště. Der zweite Aufruf kam von Seiten der tschechischen Antifa, Treffpunkt war um 11:00 Uhr direkt am Masarykovo náměstí.

On March 7 we learned that one of the most active members of the
tenants’ movement, Jolanta Brzeska, was found dead in the woods. Her
body had been burnt beyond recognition and it is unclear whether she

Am 2.März 2011 wurde der Flüchtling Denis Solopow direkt nach Erhalt der Ablehnung seines Asylantrages durch den Kiewer Migrations Service (KMS) in den Räumlichkeiten der Behörde von der Polizei festgenommen.
Das KMS, zu dem Flüchtlinge kommen um um Schutz zu ersuchen, stellt sich als Falle heraus, in der sie auf Wunsch ihrer Verfolger festgehalten werden. Continued…

Im Herbst 2010 brach eine neue Repressionswelle gegen Anarchst_innen und
soziale Aktivist_innen in Belarus aus. Anlass war ein Brandanschlag auf
die Botschaft Russlands in Minsk. Niemand wurde dabei verletzt, aber
kurz vor den bevorstehenden Praesidentschaftswahlen stellte dies für
das Lukaschenko Regime einen geeigneten Anlass dar, politische
