Two young people shot by police in austria

yesterday, at the 5th of august, two young people who tried to open and rob things out of a supermarket in the city of krems in austria were shot by police. One died immediately, the other later. They were 14 and 16 years old and police is claiming "they are known" and "they probably hat guns".
they had a screwdriver and a gardener-tool with them to open the supermarket. the alarm was starting and police is not giving detailed information now. They will find their way to put the story as police is never violent, but only victim it sounds.

one article from mainstream media is here:

http://derstandard.at/fs/1246543783164/14-Jaehriger-bei-Einbruch-in-Krems-erschossen

here you can find some pictures of the solidarity demonstration in vienna from yesterday:

http://at.indymedia.org/node/15255

there had been a attack with color at the austrian consulat in basel, switzerland at the same day.

Police violence in austria is common like everywhere, but especially racist attacks like the murder of markus omofuma ten years ago are not sentenced or detailed researched.

Interview about zagreb pride

Today we met Danijela, activist in "LORI" (Lezbijska organizacija Rijeka / Lesbian organisation Rijeka), talked to her about the zagreb pride some days ago and about her organisations local work against homophobia and transphobia. It would be great if people could spread and use that material in an noncommercial way for sharing and engaging the struggle against discriminations.

The interview is made in english and is not cutted. If you feel like cutting it or use parts of it in a supportive sense, f.e. for local independend radio, you are welcome.

Solidarity is needed for comrades in Naberezhnye Chelny (Republic of Tatarstan of Russian Federation)

In april of 2009, there was a fight between local anti-fascists and right-wing football hooligans in Naberezhnye Chelny. As a result, leader of right-wing hooligan firm "C.G.F. Guard" "Ferz" Trubin, a police lieutenant, and his comrade "Melnik" went to the police, and a criminal case was opened against anti-fascists with whom they were familiar in prior. Currently 4 local anti-fascists are charged with a felony of "Armed hooliganism, with a group of people against a government official" (statute 213, second part of Russian criminal codex), which carries a prison sentence of up to 7 years.

Zagreb LGBTIQ Pride (en)

Yesterday the 8th LGBTIQ (lesbiangaytransintersexualqueer) pride took place with around 500 people in zagreb, the capital of croatia. Beforhand the pride organisers made clear with their call that public visibility is very important from their point of view to make the choice of non-heteronormal ways of life possible:
"Pride events serve as a public gathering of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transexual and intersex (LGBTIQ) persons, and as such represent a gathering of utmost political and social importance. Your presence would encourage South-Eastern European LGBTIQ community to fight for our rights and as well give a strong impact to Croatian institutions, political organizations and public to advocate and/or support LGBTIQ rights."
( from: www.zagreb-pride.net )

The pride this year was for two reasons something special. On the one hand the stonewall riots have their 40th anniversary in 2009. On the other hand it was first time this year that a legal "anti-pride" demonstration was announced by variouse small croatian fascist and nationalist groups and parties.

( Uebersetzung, Original: www.zagreb-pride.net )
