Bologna burns Vienna

“Bolognaburns” is the continuation of the “#unibrennt” protests which
started in Vienna in October 2009. Now the movement is preparing
counter-actions against the “Bologna Ministerial Anniversary Conference
and Ball”. Considering the current situation and the ongoing protests
in many European universities this celebration is a mockery for all of
us.

Blackout durch Generalstreik am heutigen Donnerstag

Griechenland/Athen.
Ein Generalstreik am heutigen Donnerstag wird das öffentliche Leben in
Griechenland zum Großteil lahm legen. Vor allem in der Hauptstadt, aber
auch in Piräus und Thessaloniki dürfte es zu gravierenden
Verkehrsproblemen kommen. Wegen einer Beteiligung der Fluglotsen an der
Protestaktion werden bis heute Mitternacht fast alle Flüge von und nach

General Strike day in Athens, anarchist murdered by police

There is an ongoing life-feed from occupiedlondon about situation in greece.

Today, at the 11th of march, another general strike started in greece. Here are some of the pictures:

35 year-old comrade Lambros Foundas was murdered by cops on Wednesday, 10th of march in the morning in the suburb of Dafni (south Athens). The police claims that he was a “terrorist” and that he was shot
while trying to steal a car, and that was carrying firearms. Fountas
was one of the over 500 anarchists arrested at the Polytechnic riots of
1995, in Athens.

Green Way – No Way!

Making people work without contracts on unpaid trial periods, forced overtime and shit work conditions were exposed in Green Way vegetarian restaurants in at least 4 locations over the last couple of years.(See:http://libcom.org/news/green-way-vegetarian-restaurant-doesnt-pay-workers-10022010)

 

During a recent picket of a Wroclaw restaurant where people were hired and worked illegally without pay, a former worker of the restaurant confronted the owner who simply lied and claimed the women had never worked there. Yesterday and today, a couple of workers and comrades visited Green Way to demand back pay and copies of contracts proving that they worked there. They were offered money under the table, but with no written contract or evidence of having worked there – so they refused, demanded a copy of a contract and went back today. Today the owners were more agressive, threatening to sue us if articles about them do not disappear off the internet within three days. Also, they showed on the computer some “statement” written by “satisfied workers” which presumably they will try to print to convince people that there is “no problem” in their restaurants. Sechs AnarchistInnen aus Belgrad, die sechs Monaten in Haft
verbracht haben, sind nun am 17. Februar nach ihrer ersten
Gerichtsverhandlung aus dem Gefängnis entlassen worden. Die Anklage
lautete auf "Internationalen Terrorismus" und sie werden sich in
Freiheit verteidigen können.

The outrage of the police in Petrozavodsk, Russia

It is an open secret that the newly created centers for counteraction of
extremism in Russia often become the tool of repression and work against
civil liberties and initiatives. Doing their work the "fighters against
extremism" don't despise to break the law brutally. In Petrozavodsk 3 young
people became the victims of the police outrage.

Veranstaltung in Hamburg: Kriege, Krisen, Arbeitskämpfe – Soziale Bewegungen im Balkan

 

Auf der Veranstaltung werden gesellschaftliche Konfliktfelder und 
Widerstandsbewegungen gegen nationalistische, kapitalistische und 
andere Herrschaftsverhältnisse im ehemaligen Jugoslawien und 
anderen Teilen der Region angsprochen. 
Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise und der Aufstände in
Griechenland auf die politische Situation in Serbien und anderen
Balkanstaaten sowie Arbeitskämpfe und Antimilitarismus sollen als Themen
Ausgangspunkte liefern für eine Diskussion um die Solidaritätsarbeit mit
den Belgrad 6, die letztes Jahr in Belgrad verhaftet wurden und um die
Beziehungen anarchistischer und linksradikaler Strukturen hier und dort.
