On thursday 25.2. there was a solidarity protest meeting done by the ASJ Berlin for the comrades of the serbian ASI (anarchosyndicalistic initiative).
On thursday 25.2. the ASJ Berlin organized a solidarity protest meeting for the comrades of the serbian ASI (anarchosyndicalistic initiative). At 6:00 pm the first comrades gathered in front of the “European information center” at Potsdamer Platz. Immediately we drew the attention of the center’s employees to us, who asked curiously about our matter. Banners of the ASJ Berlin were unrolled and flyers were distributed. After a while other comrades of the ASJ Göttingen, FAU Hanover and Bielefeld and the AFB (anarchist federation Berlin) arrived. As after half an hour the local circumstances turned out to be unprofitable because there was a lack of audience we decided spontaneously to change the meeting location, so the whole group went to a place in front of the “European House” right in the vicinity of the information center. Due to the big event with a red carpet, security and a lot of “important” suits being in there we were sent onto the opposing median strip. We unrolled our banners and caught the attention of the guests in the European House and of the passersby again by distributing flyers and holding (giving) a speech. Tourists and passersby were interested in our protest meeting and all in all we received a quite positive feedback. The ASJ Berlin will continue to proclaim their solidarity with the comrades of the ASI, more solidarity actions are about to be planed.
